Thank You, Guangzhou

On our last day we traded small gifts on campus, drove to Baiyun Airport at dusk, and watched the skyline shrink from a plane window — finally sure what to call this feeling.

Old Streets, New City

We spent day seven in the folds of old Canton — qilou arcades, the lanes of Yongqing Fang, the banyan shade of Shamian — with the new skyline never quite out of view.

July 5, 2026 · A morning teahouse

A Table Full of Dim Sum

Our teachers held class at an old teahouse, and the bamboo steamers never stopped coming. Somewhere between the har gow and the fourth pot of tea, breakfast became our favorite classroom.
